Just like the folks you worked, those who administer the contest
would appreciate an entry, but you're just as welcome if you don't
send anything in.
Those small entries help the contest administrators check the
entries of others - logging accuracy is the new contesting metric.
SS is different than other events, in that scores tend to be close due
to a limited number of multipliers & that a station may be worked only
once (not once per band). It also has an exchange that requires
some attention from the operator.
I haven't been able to work SS since I left the US, but seeing how
error rates of <1% are possible after a weekend of 2~3k QSOs, a
couple of casual entrants' logs could conceivably change who sits
where in the box scores based on what I remember SS to be like
back in the pre-computer days (especially for the high power boys).
Again, getting on & sending in an entry is appreciated by all, but just
getting on is just fine, too. ;^)
