I've never heard of a normal "bad spot" on the trimmer caps in a K2. =
However
it IS IMPORTANT TO "seat" the caps by TURNING THEM AROUND SEVERAL TIMES. =
As
they come from the factory, the wiping contacts are often not making =
good
electrical contact for some reason. Spinning them around a dozen times =
has
corrected this problem for most ops, including myself. Once that's done,
they are absolutely reliable.=20
I've adjusted mine many times for one reason or another in the three =
years
that I've had my K2 and have yet to discover any intermittent operation. =

I had this happen to me on 20 meters.. I could not figure out what =
happened,
I had low power output and poor receive on 20 meters. ...I was also told
that it might be a good idea to turn the capacitors in that section in =
case
they hit a "bad" or "dirty" spot. Somebody can probably explain this =
better,
but thats probably where the problem might be. ...
