[Elecraft] New (to me) K2 needs help

Is your transmit power level normal, 10 watts or more on most bands with a 
14 volt supply.  Most of the alignment is in the band pass filter and will 
affect tx power as well.  If the alignment is ok then check the alc 
voltage, this can be turned off in one of the menus to see if that helps. 
This was a problem in some of the rigs.

If you mean that you are getting  ac hum then the first thing to do is move 
the power supply away from the radio.  The magnetic field form the 
transformer will couple into the radio.
