[Elecraft] New (to me) K2 needs help

John, sounds like you need to do a serious alignment of your K2....I hope 
this is all it needs! Follow the manual and it should be readily apparent if 
there's a problem with the K2 or an alignment problem, but it sounds like 
it's badly misaligned. Also, I would strongly recommend you use the 
Spectrograph PC/soundcard software to align the filters. I tried aligning my 
K2 filters by ear and I was way off the mark on all filter settings!!!

I can tell ya my K2 is "more" sensitive than my Kenwood TS690 and ICOM 
751A....or, put another way, the K2 receiver is MUCH quieter than the others 
which means I "hear" better than the Kenwood or ICOM.
