[Elecraft] KX1 STP/STL?

Hi Elecraft Experts!

I have just recently built the KX1 and I am extremely pleased with it, =
but one little thing puzzles me. I discovered, when experimenting with =
all the different settings, that when STP is set at 700 Hz the =
electronic keyer doesn't work at STL 0 or 1. There is just a regular =
rhythmic "dit" as soon as  I press the keyer paddle.

I either have to set STP <700 Hz or STL >1

The obvious answer is to keep STP <700 Hz, which I am doing, at the =
recommended 600 Hz, and everything works perfectly, but I am wondering =
if there might be a flaw in my soldering somewhere?
