I finished up the DSP unit last nite. I picked it up in Dayton but just GRT=
I Monday evening. Really easy assembly, abt a 1 evening project. Based on m=
y previous experiences with audio DSP I did not expect great things, hence =
not starting this for many months. I wish I had jumped on this earlier! Who=
ooo what a difference! Np comparison to what i have experienced with other =
DSP units( 920, 897,706). I have just started to scrape the surface and alr=
eady I am very impressed. On a very noisy 40 meter band I heard cw signals =
that were not copieable with AF and any combination of crystal filters. It =
can isolate 2 SSB signals just a kh or so away from each other, and the den=
oiser is WONDERFUL! Takes 90 percent of noise totally away with no or very =
low ringing and signals jump out at u. I know there is way more to explore =
with this FB module ( auto notch setup still seems a mystery to me) so I lo=
ok forward to a whole new learning experience. Thanks you Lyle and all the =
E-craft folks who made this possible. Another notch up for the already grea=
t K2, untouchable in MHO.
