Sandy, W5TVW;

In 1965 ~66 when I was working on my novice livcense, my elmer at the
time told me why morse code was so critical: "when nothing else can get
through ... code will. It saves lives. " How true history has proven
this. The whole object for my getting back into ham radio, and the
reason I chose the Elecraft K2 kit was to allow me to use code for
"conversation" ... er... ragchewing. All I have to do now is teach this
old dawg some new tricks [code] and get upgraded to General ... now I am
particularly interested in PSK31 operation ... but when I can sit and
just plain ragchew for an hour or so with my elmer and goood friend Bill
NA7Y ... now there is what this whole effort is all about. That and
saving lives ...
