PVC is too limber for a mast of any height.  I recommend you pick up some
stepped sizes of thin-wall electrical conduit.  I have several freestanding
34 ft tall masts made of it.  Use 1" diameter for the top section, and the
next
larger size for each successive section below.  A good hose clamp will keep
each
section from sliding down into the next lower section.  I allow 2 ft of
overlap
between sections, so with four sections, you get a 34 ft tall mast.
These masts work best when the supported load is vertical, not horizontal.
If
you are supporting the end of an 80m dipole, then use a back guy to take up
most
of the strain, and let the mast supply the vertical support.
