Hi Rich,
I just put the last 6 screws in my K2 (#3716) today. I use aluminum muffin
tins that come with 6 or 8 cupcake sized depressions. I separated the
resistors, hardware, caps, IC's, misc. etc in each "cupcake" hole. I also
bought a couple of sturdy DISPOSABLE aluminum foil baking pans ( about
10x10) in the kitchen aisle of the local supermarket. They have all sizes
and they are cheap (and the XYL doesn't miss them when she goes to bake).
Figure out what works for you and take a trip to the grocery store. They
have all sizes and shapes of throw away thin aluminum baking and cooking
aids that are perfect for sorting small parts. AND, the muffin tins don't
spill as easily as the small paper Dixie cups some guys use.
Been building kits since my first Knight Kit in 1959 and always used the
muffin tins to sort parts. Hope that helps on the organizing side.
Good luck and enjoy every moment. You have one fun kit there!
