It'd be handy if the manuals each included images of the unpopulated boards.

I didn't find the KX1 any tighter to build than the KSB2 was.  In both
cases, though, I frequently flowed solder over two adjacent pads and had to
go examine the circuit diagram to figure out whether they were supposed to
be connected.  In every single case, the pads I'd bridged were really one
pad, no solder mask in between, but I had to use the circuit diagram to find
this out.  Finding an arbitrary part designator in an unfamiliar diagram
sometimes takes some doing, and in the KX1, a couple of the pads I was
worrying about just connected to traces that disappeared under other parts.
