Tom,

The way I handle the 'several mics' situation is to use the 'straight
across' configuration at the header pins - with no resistor inside the K2.

Then I either wire the microphone cables to match the K2 wiring, or if I
need to use a mic with another rig, I make up an adapter.  When the resistor
is needed for a particular mic (electret type), I add the resistor in the
mic plug or in the adapter - yes one can fit a resistor into the mic plug if
you try real hard!
