[Elecraft] K2 and SSB microphone Connections

Hi gang,

  I've just finished the SSB adapter for my K2 and wired it for use with the
MH-2 microphone.  I'm satisfied with the MH-2 (although the wire from the
mic to the rig could be a few inches longer) but would like to interchange
other microphones for use with the K2.  Of course (Murphy's law being what
it is), these other mics have different pinouts than the MH-2.

 I was wondering how others are handling this situation.  I'd rather not go
inside the rig every time I want to use a different mic.  It would seem that
some sort of simple female to male adapter could be wired up to accommodate
the various mic configurations.

The other thing I'm too sure of is the bias (?) resistor that is placed
across two of the pins on the K2.  Will this 'get in the way' of other
configs?
