[Elecraft] Purpose and usage of the "Hi IP" signal.

Hi, Folks,

I'm trying to understand the usage of the signal "Hi IP" that is connected
to the gate of Q12 on the RF board.  It obviously jacks up the current in
Q22 to a BIG number if Q12 turns on as controlled by "HI IP".  Can anyone
tell me when HI IP is supposed to be used?  It must be a pulsed kind of
usage, because the current in Q22 goes very high when Q12 turns on.  Anyone
have insight on this one?
