Hello,
After making the af-pot mod, I'm satisfied with the KDSP2. Of course
there are artefacts if the signal level drops down to S1 or less, but
the overall performance is better then with the KAF2. I can always
select which setting fits the actual signal and I use the
noisereduction more often now.
Yesterday I finished building the noisegenerator from Tom, N0SS (the 2
transistor version). I spend abt 1 hour and realigned the BFO with
baudline (vy powerfull Linux spectrogram program). Now there is no
tonal difference anymore, if I switch between C and C-rev. Following
the tips from Sverre, LA3ZA, I aligned the R and R-rev filter and
working digimodes seems ok now.
Next I will made the BFO-Mod, if I can find the description on the
elecraft server ;-) and the VFO stability mode.
Have a nice sunday
