I would be inclined not to worry about that, Paul.  The KX1 manual does 
not specify the kind of DMM to use for these measurements.  Some of the 
cheaper meters give inaccurate, if not useless, readings if there is 
d.c. present. For example, on the 200V a.c. range, my meter reads 26.8V 
when connected across a 12V battery!

I have some strange Page 28 a.c. readings, but my KX1 works fine.
