[Elecraft] Westinghouse Speaker

While the speaker on the K2 works fine and I get plenty of audio, for my
shack location and layout I prefer using a external speaker pointed at me.
I have been using a old Heath HS-1661 speaker and it works great with the K2
and I prefer it to the built in speaker of the K2.

A while back there was a discussion on the Motorola mobile speakers so I
intended to pick up a Motorola speaker at Dayton, but everyone wanted $10 or
more and being cheap I ended up buying a Westinghouse mobile speaker for
$2.00.   I took it apart and cleaned the case with 409 and it looks brand
new.  Anyway it works great with the K2 and puts out plenty of volume.  I
wired up a switch to compare the Westinghouse with my Heath speaker I cannot
tell the difference.

So if you are looking for a good external speaker keep your eyes open for a
Westinghouse mobile speaker.  Now if I can find a Motorola speaker for $2.00
I will do a comparison test of the different speakers.  Realize the test is
all subjective, and your mileage may vary.
