Personally, I'd urge you to at least consider the Hakko 936-12, which is 
price-competitive with the Wellers, and which offers a much wider range of 
available tips.

If you do go with a Weller, I'd strongly suggest you go with a model which 
does NOT require you to change tips in order to change temp. Having to 
change tips each time you want to change heat range is a pain in the back 
side, at the very least!
