Henry,
My order of preference is based on the percentage
of usage. That is, what option does the most for
you, and when.
1. TC-PLL Upgrade - This will improve the K2's
basic design. % Usage: 100
2. KSB2 - This will give you an additional
operating mode(s). % Usage: Varies with your
operating habit.
3. KNB2 - This will improve your noise reduction.
% Usage: Only used in environments needing pulse
noise reduction. Varies with your operating location.
4. K160RX - This will give you a new band. % Usage:
I would save this for last. You won't really capitalize
on this band until the winter. Additionally, it will
give you all summer and fall to complete the other
options/upgrades before you would actually use
this feature.
Cheers,
Colin
PS - You may want to consider the KAT2 (if you
don't already have it) as well. It will make the K2
an excellent portable rig (or desktop for that matter).

Hi Elecrafters,
Well, bliss has arrived here at the QTH. My
adopted K2 is happy that I finally purchased some
options to help it "stand tall" next to the 1000MP.
In the mail today came the TC-PLL Upgrade,
K160RX, KNB2, and KSB2.
We would like to know from you experienced builders
which order should we build these options; or does
it not really matter?
