I also use WIN EQF with my K2/100, and I have observed the same 
behavior. The K2 works fine with any other programs I've tried it with, 
so it's my belief that the problem is with WIN EQF. I've always been 
able to get it to work by after a failure as you've described by:
- Powering down the K2
- Terminate Win EQF
- Power up the K2, and immediately restart  Win EQF. For some reason, 
I've found that if Win EQF is started immediately after the K2 is 
powered up, it usually connects without any problem. Sometimes, I need 
to go through this sequence several times, but eventually it 'catches', 
and then it's fine for as long as both remain running.

I've never taken the time to investigate why this is happening, and it 
would be interesting to know - but this sequence always seems to get 
things going.
