There was some discussion on the socket question a short while back - as I
recall, using machine pin sockets in place of the 'Elecraft issue' sockets
is OK - but only for the devices that Elecraft normally puts into sockets.

You may want to consider the effects of the gold plated pins with the tinned
device leads - in the past I recall some problems were addressed within the
engineering community (not the Elecraft reflector) but I can't recall the
resolution (if there even was one) nor the particular application.  Perhaps
someone else can provide you with more information on that part - or use
tinned machine pin sockets.
