[Elecraft] K2 keyer problem

I've gotten to the first stage of tests in my K2 and am having a problem =
with the keyer. Only one side of my paddles seems to work. If I switch =
to left hand configuration the dits change to dahs on the working side =
but thats it. I've tried 2 different cords and 2 different sets of =
paddles. Any Ideas? Everything else in the stage 1 tests checks out =
fine. Thanks guys.
