[Elecraft] Re: K2/100 Amp problems

It sounds like a Brown out type of problem where the Microchip
Microcontroller reset line is not being held low long enough for the
power supply to come up to full voltage before the processor starts up.

I have experienced this in the past on circuits I was designing with
the Atmel line.

It would seem to me that the PA deck is pulling a little more power on
startup then just the plain Jane rig and is holding the power low just
long enough to cause your hiccup.

A quick and dirty fix may be to add an external brownout detector like
the Panasonic MN13811 or similar (approx the size and shape of a 2N22A
transistor) to hold the reset line low.

Maybe the good folks at Elecraft can shed some light on this.
