[Elecraft] K2 and power output vs battery SOC

New to this list, I've been working with a middle school club on getting
an HF Remote Base (HFRB) running. Testing for this HFRB now includes a
recently acquired K2 for my QTH (not yet documented on the web site below,
the Pegasus is the club HFRB rig). Two quick q's for the list:

? What is the nominal maximum output power (Pout) into 50ohms vs input
voltage (Vin) at the terminals of the K2 ?

? I use a N4UAU boost converter for laptop PS (15.3Vout) with lead acid
wet cells , Should I use that through a Si diode (0.7v drop) to the K2 to
maintain constant, higher Pout barefoot ?

I've read max Pout of 10W (CW) with 10.5Vin in N6KR post of 2002-11-20.
What about usable Pmax for higher sustained voltages at Vin (but under
Vin=15V)? Also noted some refer to max usable on SSB as 10W (design
point).

Summary of setup: K2 - 160m & SSB & AF options, serial IF & K2 battery
order pending
- current mobile HF: K2 + 4-8AHr gel cell + Z11 AT + Hustler MO series HF
antenna (or wire ant if fixed site during travel) HFPacker amp
occasionally (no Z11 in ckt)
- planned stationary config: K2 + 60-100AHr wet cell backup to Astron 11A
+ AT-11(mp?) + multiband NVIS setup for regional ARES and HFRB + small
(50-100W) remotable HF amp yet to be determined.

BTW - FT-817 was my planned transportable HF rig and test HFRB rig, but
the receiver sensitivity isn't what I had hoped compared to the Pegasus
and especially not compared to the K2. Once I found out there was a
remote control option and a base of software for running the K2, then it
was a just a matter of time before I saved up enough quarters to do this !
