Very interesting: I have the exact same problem: fan comes on, PA HOT
message comes on as soon as I key the rig or attempt to tune it.

This doesn't happen if I turn the power down below 10W.

I just did the BFO mod and the 14 matched filter crystals and so far (one
evening of testing) it hasn't happened again.

My filters have never sounded better, btw.
