Yes. The K1 has a four-crystal filter, but truly elephantine signals will sneak
around it.

The stock one should not exhibit jumpiness when the shaft is moved. But if you
want a more expensive type with a metal bushing, you might send an e-mail to
support@elecraft.com to get a part number from Gary or Scott. I have it in my
notes somewhere if that doesn't pan out.
