Pricing for f/w upgrades on our existing products is on our parts and mod kits 
order form at http://www.elecraft.com .  These upgrade chips are only 
available from the factory.

But, What about future upgrades?

Is the code released so the end user can reprogram the Chip (Microchip
microcontroller) via putting it in a programmer or is it only avaliable
via a new chip from Elecraft?

What would be the Typical fee for a new chip?

I noticed an Atmel chip on the DSP board, Won't the Microchip Processor
get jealous.
