Congrats; you sure did the right thing. You are going to have a ball.
Just relax, now and once you get the K2 in the mail. Just take your time
and don't worry. It is fun work if you're not afraid -- and there is
absolutely no reason to be afraid. The kit is fantastically engineered.
It goes together as sweet as silk. The parts fit just as they should, and
all the holes line up. It's not like many kits where you need a shoe horn
as part of the tool box.
Speaking of tool box: At our age, a good lighted magnifying stand is
essential.
And remember, Elecraft provides super support. So does this reflector.
There are a lot of knowledgable, experienced guys that are around most of
the time, day and night. So just relax and enjoy. I think you will find
that most of the chaps on this reflector consider the building of their K2s
and K1s to be among the most satisfying things in their hamming careers,
and this includes a lot of us who have built many a kit over many a year.
