[Elecraft] Heil Proset w/ K2

Mike very curious about your (and other's) experiences performing the KSB2
mod as described in 'Improving the Performance of the KSB2' installing a
2n2222 to increase the mic gain of the circuit....my SN3345 also suffers
from low mic gain even using the Heil mic Elecraft sells so I'm considering
the mod as well.
It sounds like you did the mod? If so, did it work per your expectations and
are there any downsides to making these changes on the KSB2 board?
