[Elecraft] DSP CW question

I've owned and operated a JPS NIR 10 for several years,
along with a couple of conventional audio filters. With the
NIR 10, the time delay for signal processing makes it
impossible to monitor your sending in full break-in, thus
one must operate cw in semi-break-in mode. Also, this
requires a key line from the rig to the filter that bypasses
filtering while sending, so one can monitor the sending
during the extended mute time in semi-break-in. Is this
typical of all DSP units, such as the Timewave? Will the
new Elecraft DSP unit also require longer delay times or
semi-break-in?
