Don't go with the G as that isn't a standard yet and it will probably
change and you'll be stuck. The other 2 A and B give you different
thruput and different freqs. The A standard is faster and on
5gigs...this is what I have as I've got other 2gig stuff that the B
would have interfered with. 2.4 gig B standard is more common and
cheaper.
Any of the above however should work just fine for you..if you are
getting DSL or Cable buy a router/gateway...that way you can access the
Internet directly through the gateway without another computer turned
on.

Subject: [Elecraft] Which Wireless Network for K2?

I'm noticing that when it comes to wireless network, there's an alphabet

soup to deal with......802.11a, 802.11b,....... 802.11g. Any preference

for which works best? Are all compatible for K2 control?

I'm planning to go with cable modem to replace dial-up internet
connection
& then a wireless router to feed the signal to my laptop for remote
control and my K2 will be located by the desktop computer (800 MHz
w/WinMe) which will be hardwired to the router.

Alternatively, I may have the K2 at the office tied to the internet via
a
computer here, & then control the K2 from home....16 miles distant.
