[Elecraft] Alignment question

As I head into the home stretch building my new K2 I'm curious about the 
need for the Spectrograph to alignment the K2 filters? My question is: What 
does the Spectrograph give me that I won't get aligning the K2 using the 
methods described in the manual? More accuracy? Is it not possible to do a 
FB job of alignment using the method described in the manual?
