Hi Ed and group,
I have done lots of work with "make up" for rigs. Used
sparingly it's magic but no paint color ever seems to
match right out of the bottle. I start with Humbrol (a
British paint for toy soldiers and models) color #32
"MATT" that can be found at major hobby shops. Color
#32 is generally just a little darker than the
Elecraft / Icom gray so I'll apply a touch and see how
it looks, then mix and lighten while it drys (on
aluminum foil) with the lighter colored Humbrol #126
or #129. The color does not need to be exact, a little
darker is good but texture is very important so the
least amount used to cover bare metal is the general
rule. If the color tried is a really bad match, it
wipes off with a rag if you move quickly, trial and
error will bring you to perfection!

Has anyone found a need for touch-up paintAny
suggestions, please........
As usual, thanks in advance.
