Ok Karl,
also i have a 40 and 20 m option. My K1 rig is working very well but i am
not a purist Cw operator.
I like SSB also so i am studing same mod to K1 as:
- band extension (about 350 Khz )
- SSB transmission on K1.
The real problem is to insert these new features without any mecanical mods
to the K1. Also the electrical mods must be little so the initial status can
be restored easy.
I have a web site http://it.geocities.com/giulianoi0cg
see the K1 page but, this mod. isn't on the web now.
I have built the filter only 2 days ago so my documentation isn'ready.
The input filter is connected to the pin 3 of Noise blanck connector and the
output to C38.
The switching is performed when the Xfil Dc voltage overcome 4 V . So the
switching from CW and SSB is performed automatically when filter 1 (at 850
Hz) has selected .
The filter has made with six cristal at 4915 KHz (cost about one $ each)
I hope to insert the filter schematics on my web this week.
Thanks for your interest.
