EGAD! I checked my K2 and I DO have the oddest "birdie" near 14.360!=20
Antenna disconnected, as I tune upwards, at 14359.86 I hear a "click" =
and a
plainly audible birdie appears. I'm guessing that is when the PLL =
stepped up
5 kHz and the Reference Oscillator starts tuning the next 5 kHz segment.
That birdie very slowly changes frequency as I tune on up from 14359.86 =
to
14364.72 (4.86 kHz) when with another "click" it is GONE! The beat =
frequency
of the birdie shifts about 1 or 2 kHz as I tune the K2 over that whole =
4.86
KHz.=20
The birdie is VERY stable. Poking around the board only makes a little
warble if I touch the frequency determining components.=20
Curiouser and curouser, as Alice said. But I've got to climb out of the
Rabbit Hole and get back to work or the Mad Hatter will be after me!=20
But I'm wondering if my K2 is "deaf" in that frequency segment....

...I find a S9+20 (registered on the K2 LED) birdie at approx 14.360 =
Mhz.
(Antenna disconnected!). 2x that fqy gives me 28.720 - close enough. Now =
to
run down why I have that particular birdie sooo strong!! Or where it's
coming from :-)
