[Elecraft] K2 PLL calibration - Page 57

Well, I may be stumped. Aside from the fact that I can't seem to build
a frequency probe that works (bad connections either at the tip end, the
connecter end or both, when I connected an external frequency counter to
TP3 I read 12014 which is below the 12090 + - 30 called for in the book
(Page 57 - PLL calibration). Is that a fatal problem?

I'm not sure what to do about the frequency probe. I have struggled
with it but I don't seem to be able to get it to work. It reads 000000
unless I wiggle the coax and hold it in which case it displays fast
changing readings which are all way off. When I let go of the coax, the
reading returns to zero. There is clearly a bad connection(s) which I
don't seem able to fix.

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
