Dr. Saber,

I found the attached extract from the 1920 census.  It shows Bernard and 
his family living at 72 Washington Ave. in Irvington.  Also, 
interestingly, a Samuel Kantor along with his wife Bessie and two sons, 
Nathan and Lawrence, lived on the same street at 76 Washington Ave.  Was 
he Bernard's brother?

It would now seem that your grandfather and the Bernard Kantor on the 
ledgers in Israel are one-in-the-same persons.
