[Elecraft] KAT100 won't talk to DX4WIN

Hi Elecrafters,

I finished my KAT100 Automatic Antenna Tuner last evening and installed
the necessary K2 firmware revision 2.03d and IOC revision 1.07. Joy of
joys, the antenna tuner worked perfectly to tune the various bands of
the two antennas I use. 

However, rig control has stopped working. And I'm baffled as to why.

Since I am using the computer's ONLY RS-232 port for my packet cluster
connection, I am using a Belkin USB to Serial adapter for my rig
control. I used this set-up with success before I put the new KAT100 in
line.

I have OHMed out the new control cable, and all looks fine.

On DX4WIN I have my packet on Com 1 and the rig on Com 4. These com
ports worked before. The baud rate is 4800, as before and the rig info
is still Kenwood w/o S-meter. In short, I changed *nothing* in the
settings in DX4WIN that previously worked correctly for rig control.

On the K2 I have the Port turned ON (on the Secondary Menu).

Mt procedure is the same as before the KAT100: I turn on the rig first;
then I open DX4WIN. I click Add real time on DX4WIN.  After about 15
seconds I get the following message:

Radio timed out.
Radio interface has been disabled.

I have tried plugging the I/O cable directly into the computer's COM
port (eliminating the Belkin adapter and re-setting the COM port info in
DX4WIN appropriately) but still no go...

Can somebody give me help here?
