Mike,
The first thing I would do is check to see how much 'noise' the microphone
is picking up. The mic may not be sufficiently directional and may be
picking up the initial output from the K2 speaker or there be adequate room
background noise to hold the VOX in. It takes quite a bit more mic signal
to initially activate the VOX than it does to hold it.
