[Elecraft] KAT100 FIRMWARE FEATURE REQUEST

Hi Elecrafters:

No big thing, but I'm gonna toss this out for discussion anyway...

Any chance of having the KAT100 respond like the KAT2 does when K2 is in
Test mode or the power is turned completely down and an attempt is made to
"Tune" the antenna? The KAT2 responds with "Lo P" on the display and no
attempt to auto-tune. The KAT100, with no RF power available, attempts to
tune and goes through a short period of relay activity before quiting,
apparently saving the settings, and thus de-tunes a previous "tuned"
condition. When taken out of Test Mode and power set at other than minimum,
press/hold the "Tune" button results in normal auto-tuning activity.

Like I said... no big thing, but if the KAT2 handles it, perhaps the KAT100
could also.

Also... if nobody else's KAT100 is acting like this, then I guess I've got
other problems:-(

BTW... I'm using KAT100 firmware version 1.04... the latest available.
