[Elecraft] K2 Remote via the Internet

Further to the router / firewall brand, can of worms, can anyone cast
any light on the software I mention but can't remember the name of??

A Silly suggestion, rather than re-inventing wheel etc... what about 
(and IF running through a router and or switch is required); run the 
Ksoftware locally and then PC anywhere host, the other runs pcanywhere 
remote - or similar to do the remote side... That would take care of 
the security etc, and .. Well, Everything else!  :-)

(It sounds VERY simple when I say it fast, but I have not thought this 
through..)

That would also work by landline, and not be dependant on the 
internet..  There is a shareware type of "pcanywhere" done by bell labs,
or at least 
available from a bell lab site.. That would be even cheaper and I know 
the software works well, even that it uses a black and red icon! just
can't remember the name!
