With a heavy hand, that might be a bit tricky.  If you have a K1, with the 
stand, you could mount the snap in base to the stand and have the keyer 
below the radio.  One of the other guys on here thought that up, and has a 
picture somewhere.

The plastic clip base that came with mine could be mounted to the top of 
the radio, and then you could simply snap in the paddle.  You could also 
mount that to a clip board, and that would become your operating table on 
the trail.  The palm guys may have a side clip that will let you clip the 
paddle to side of the radio when you get to where you go.  But that may not 
be a good send position for you.

I have adapted a different send technique with my Palm paddle in my 
mobile.  I haven't secured the paddle to the vehicle or to a strap 
yet.  When I send, hold the paddle down to the console of the van or my leg 
with my index finger, and send with my thumb and second finger.  Has gotten 
me many mobile contacts.
