It may not be light enough for your needs but I just mounted it on a steel strip about 1/4" thick and slightly bigger than the footprint of the paddle. Then I put sum rubber no skid feet on it. It works beautifully but is still extremely compact - but it adds weight if you are the back packer type. 73/Tim NZ7C
