There are two possible exceptions to this rule.  If you are assembling the 
160M/2nd RX board, you might want to consider putting some thin 
double-sided sticky tape between the torroids and the board.  This is due 
to the fact that those torroids lay flat with the wire connections on one 
end.  The thin double sided tape helps keep them in place easier, and can 
lessen the strain on the wires.

The second has to do with one of the transformers, I think T2.  (Somebody 
correct me if I am wrong.)  To optimize the output of the radio on 10M, 
that transformer had to be slightly elevated off the board.  For me, the 
same thin double sided sticky tape solved that problem as well.
