Andreas,

Having had this happen to me, here are a couple of postings from my
experiences.

My Therapist says sharing about this help me..............

You know those 9-pin Null MODEM adapters you can get?

Don't plug one in to your KIO2. You will have to do what I'm
doing.....

Buy a new main MPU.

But at least I'm experimenting!!!!!!!!

-------Message 2 ------------------------------------------
Gang,

While working out the details of a serial interface cable between my
Handspring Visor and K2 (trying-out Pat K0PC logging program -
cool! try it!) I apparently made my K2 unhappy.

I must have got across one of the wrong lines on the KIO2
connector. As a result, I ended-up with NO output from the K2 at
all.

Short story: I popped a pin on the main MCU and had to replace
the MCU.

Moral of the story: When doing a serial interface, only use pins
1,2,3, and 5. Stay off the rest.

Chuck Bland - n6dbt
#1924 +/- a main MCU.

Note Andreas KU7T's stunning brilliance and Chuck's apt reply (gack!)
