[Elecraft] question on Heil hand mics for K2

Curt,

It is my understanding that Heil did some minor engineering to improve the
MH2 performance for K2 use over the other items that you can buy directly
from Heil.  Many have used other offerings from Heil with total success.

However, if you want to purchase a hand mike, then I would suggest buying an
MH2 from Elecraft.

Either way I would suggest that if you are going to use multiple microphones
you should rewire the control panel for the MH2 (easiest) and incorporate
all the differences into the connectors or adapters for the various mikes
that you use.  I have an 8 pin header block with a mike connector attached
that I use to experiment with microphone wiring before I finalize connector
wiring of make and adapter patch chord.

Just my thoughts and opinions.
