[Elecraft] K2 Mods before building KPA-100

It was suggested that I do the mods to bring my K2 up to revision B
before building the KPA-100. So I ordered everything I needed last
week. Found out today that the K2 Temp Comp PLL upgrade is backordered
for 2 to 3 weeks. Other than maybe some drift problem, is there any
reason to postpone the KPA construction and use before this mod is
done? Was hoping to have this by field day so I could use a long wire,
etc. with the KAT-100 that my son is building now.
