Here's what I found when upgrading the K2 to the K2/100 with KAT100.
The KAT2 stays with the basic K2 cover. When you upgrade to a K2/100 you
build a new cover which serves as a heat sink and board for the 100 amp.
The KAT 100 is built as a separate unit that serves as a base for the K2/100
to sit on. The KAT100 communicates with the K2/100 via a control cable.
Someone else will have to add more specifics but hopes this helps.
