[Elecraft] The K2 Noise blanker realy works!

The discussion of how well the K2 NB works makes me wonder, Why do so few
other NBs work well?

I came to the K2 from a TenTec Corsair which, as somebody else said, has a
decorative knob marked "NB". I've read here & QRP-L many comments about
other mfgrs seemingly unable to make an effective NB. What makes it
difficult? I'm know virtually nothing about designing a circuit but it seems
that if you Ken-com-yae-etc. can design a sophisticated modern transceiver,
why can't they handle a NB?
