Hi, Tim, just please one other thing and then I'll cut the thread... Considering a VHF transverter is a very pertinent question to be asking at this moment, especially if Broadband over Power Lines gets deployed widely. City dwellers may well be chased off of the HF bands to flee the BPL noise and interference, and VHF may become one of our better alternatives. I myself am looking at this option (and thus a transverter or transverters) in the not-so-distant future. Keep your eyes on what the FCC does about BPL.
