[Elecraft] VCO test problem

Just reached Alignment Part II: VCO test
I am getting a reading of 0000.00 unless I reach over and wiggle the probe
connected to TP1. Then the readings are all over the place. I looked
carefully at the surrounding resistors/caps and everything looks good, as
far as soldering is concerned...Could not find any thing in troubleshooting
that could lead me out of the wilderness...any suggestions?  Is it possible
that the probe is not good? It worked on the preceding test...
